There's just a ton of things that go into planning a wedding, and we often hear how stressful the little details are! As far as your wedding photography goes, we're here to help!
Here are 5 Items to Check Off Your Wedding Photography Checklist!

1. Send contract and retainer.
At our photography studio here in Medford, Oregon, we ask for your retainer at the time of booking your wedding date. This locks your date in on our photography calendar and guarantees that we don’t book anything else on that date.
We generally go over what’s included in our contract with you during this initial meeting as well. We’re glad to answer any questions before you sign and commit to trust us with your memorable photography for the special day!
2. Schedule engagement session.
(2 months or more in advance.)
If you’re also having engagement photos taken, we suggest setting up the shoot date with us at least two months prior to your wedding date. (Perhaps even further out if you plan on using your engagement pictures for save the dates or invitations!)
3. Schedule wedding consult.
(Schedule for 1 month in advance.)
At our studio, we recommend setting up a second consultation with us about 30 days prior to your wedding. This helps us all to be sure of your final timeline and any changes that may have come up since your initial booking consultation with us.
4. Submit a list of must-have wedding shots.
(No less than 3 weeks prior to wedding.)
At our initial consultation with couples, we send home a copy of our unique Comprehensive Wedding Shot List. This list gives you a visual idea of some common wedding photos and helps us know what’s most important to you.
Sometimes, it’s just not possible to capture every single photo on our list, but we do our best and we always prioritize the shots that you select as most important to you!
In this list, we also include spaces to write in names of family and friends that you wish to have in group photos. By giving us this information, we can help you to make sure everyone is where they need to be at the time of your family pictures. Who wants to spend an hour tracking down Great Aunt Martha when you could all be getting the reception started??
5. Submit final timeline, venue addresses (including salons, homes you’ll be getting ready at, etc.), & emergency contact phone numbers, hotel room numbers to your photographer.
We provide our wedding photography clients with a detailed worksheet that will contain all this information and even more. This makes sure that we know where everyone is going to be and when. You can trust that when you book Oregon Studio Group for your Southern Oregon wedding photography, you’ll be getting incredible attention to detail and the best in professionalism!
Let us know if you have any other questions about wedding photography! We can't wait to save your date and capture all the magical moments!
